Garador launches new Salisbury side-hinged door

Garador has added an exciting new product to its extensive range of garage doors.

The new Salisbury side hinged garage door has a modern attractive design, with traditional cross windows allowing natural light inside your garage. It replicates the already popular Salisbury up & over garage door design, but in a side-hinged door format.

Garador’s Managing Director, Jon Watson comments “There are instances where a customer wants the Salisbury model but requires a side-hinged solution for their garage. With the introduction of this new door model they no longer have to compromise.”

The Salisbury side-hinged door has a modern look with smooth swage lines and classic cross windows that brighten up your garage. It is perfect for multi-functional garages that are used for various purposes, as it allows you to access your items without having to lift the whole door. This is very convenient when you need to store or retrieve gardening tools, bicycles or other bulky items.

Along with the rest of Garador’s steel side-hinged door range, the Salisbury is constructed from high-grade galvanised steel. It also comes with two-point locking and concealed hinges for security, as well as sturdy weatherproof sealing to keep wet and blustery conditions outside; and there are also door stays to prevent the door blowing shut.

Jon Watson continues, “The Salisbury has been engineered with practical features such as two-point locking, weather proof sealing, dampeners and door stays to provide the homeowner with an excellent experience.”

The opening system has been carefully designed, with one fixed leaf and one leading leaf, making quick access possible. Gas pistons to act as dampeners, ensuring a smooth and cushioned movement as the door is opened or closed. In situations where a car is parked inside the garage, both doors open outwards to offer maximum drive-through clearance; there aren’t any tracks or gear systems taking up valuable ceiling or wall space.

The new Salisbury side-hinged door really has been designed for modern living. Easy to fit, it is available in two styles incorporating a subtle but important difference.

While both versions include crisp swage styling and cross windows, Version 1, at 7’0” wide, includes small window boundary edging pieces, important to ensure the window frames fit securely, while Version 2, at 7’6” wide, does not require this boundary edging on the windows.

Both styles of the new Salisbury side-hinged door are available in a choice of 20 colours and with variety of different handle options to suit.
