To date, 40 for 40, a partnership between Parkside Architectural Tiles and World Land Trust has protected nearly half a million square metres of biodiverse habitat.
40 for 40 is a partnership between specifiers, Parkside Architectural Tiles and the World Land Trust, www.worldlandtrust.org, to protect the world’s precious natural habitats. By specifying tiles from Parkside that have 40% recycled content or above, specifiers can play an active role in saving land and species.
Since its launch (1st July 2021 – 31st March 2023), 40 for 40 has protected 484,611m² of habitat through World Land Trust’s projects. This contribution has helped the World Land Trust to secure the future of more than 2,600,00 acres of land to date, protecting over 11,000 species. Currently, the programme is supporting land purchase in Argentina and Kenya and Parkside has committed to continuing the 40 for 40 partnership for the future.

40 for 40 comes alongside Parkside’s status as a World Land Trust Carbon Balanced business. The trust has analysed the greenhouse gas emissions caused by the company’s daily operations, which due to work already undertaken to create better environmental practices, where certified at 405 tonnes for the year. These emissions are now balanced by carbon-rich habitat protection projects in Ecuador, Mexico and Vietnam.
