Ahmarra recently manufactured and installed fire doorsets for an NHS hospital’s new Endoscopy Unit on behalf of the main contractor.
The new unit will provide additional treatment rooms and recovery areas, increasing capacity and reducing patient wait times.
The Trust opted for doors with an enhanced fire and smoke rating of FD60s, providing critical time for staff to assist in the safe evacuation of patients in the event of a fire.
These doors are encapsulated in a PVC-u impact-resistant material that is infused with an anti-bacterial compound that effectively eliminates 99.9% of bacteria with 24 hours. Hygienic and easy to keep clean, these doors help prevent the spread of infection.
