Health, Wellbeing and the Offsite Revolution

We’re delighted to present pioneering case studies in modern timber design at the show. Visit us in the Materials Hub at stand G40 to explore our exhibition featuring 15 award-winning projects. A limited number of Peter Wilson’s The Modern Timber House in the UK will be available at the stand, too.

Putting people at the centre of design, construction and operations decisions is the focus of the Interiors Hub. Discussions will include how buildings can advance human health, the cognitive impact of clean air in the internal environment, the benefits of biophilic design, the WELL Building Standard, designing for dementia and the use of light to promote mental and physical well-being.

Timber Design Pioneers

The latest TRADA publication, ‘Timber Design Pioneers’ focusses on collaboration in the design of innovative timber buildings, the lessons learned and obstacles overcome by multidisciplinary teams which produced buildings including the award-winning Cowan Court by 6a Architects, the BREEAM excellent-rated Dyson Centre for Neonatal Care and the award-winning Vortex at Bloomberg’s new headquarters. Learn more about these projects in the Timber Design Pioneer seminars, 5-7 March.

Join us for the launch event on 6 March at 4.15pm at G50 and get a copy of the publication, while stocks last.

Modular Design & Offsite Construction

With the UK in the midst of a housing crisis and the Government increasing the housing infrastructure fund to £5.5bn to support the building of 650,000 homes, the interest in offsite as a solution has never been greater.

Masterclasses will bring together a range of supply-chain specialists and industry leaders who provide expert information and seminars on using offsite technology effectively to construct a better, sustainable environment and show how the industry is responding to unprecedented demand through greater investment in lean manufacturing systems.

Building for the Future

Latest building systems and technologies from across the globe will feature at the Buildings Hub, including new build, retrofit and refurbishment.
