Working with Project Manager Francis Hunter, Area Sq installed multiple workstations, training, collaboration and breakout zones, providing a wide variety of inspiring and dynamic areas for different work uses. A feature staircase with a striking stretched light-box now connects all three floors and joins people and teams together, some for the first time. The strong Enterprise heritage and branding was reflected in the design and represented through a feature reception display, bold wall graphics and careful selection of materials. Furniture pieces were supplied by sister company Sketch Studios.
Ska Rating Gold was achieved for the sustainable refurbishment through enhanced staff wellbeing facilities, diverting 98% of waste from landfill, maximising natural lighting and using 80% of recycled and recyclable materials. We also conducted site tours for Strode’s College and Royal Holloway, University of London. The project was shortlisted by Considerate Constructors Scheme as a top 100 site in the UK, and received a Bronze Accreditation.
