Cordova Parkade, Vancouver

This car park was intended to help revitalize Vancouver’s down town district, constructed from a former department store, the designers turned the building in to a car park which cost an incredible $28,000,000 to complete. It incorporates pieces of old Vancouver bridges in the design whilst also paying homage to the surrounding historic buildings by having the exterior screen latticed granite and steel, inspired by 19th-century train stations.
