Work nears an end at housing development in Chipping Norton

A new housing development, which has brought much-needed homes to Chipping Norton, is now nearing completion.

Cotswold Gate, off Walterbush Road in the town, has seen the construction of 228 new homes, with properties proving popular with local buyers and a new community already taking shape.

Work at the site is due to finish this summer with the construction of the final new homes which are now on sale.

The development is also bringing investment in local infrastructure and facilities, with financial contributions agreed during the planning process totalling more than £540,000.

Chris Edginton, Sales and Marketing Director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “We are delighted with how popular Cotswold Gate is proving.

“We have an unbeatable mix of homes here which are appealing to first-time buyers and families as well as commuters to London, Oxford and Banbury.

“Cotswold Gate also boasts a first-class location. It’s within walking distance of Chipping Norton’s flourishing town centre, while there are well-regarded schools nearby.

“It’s just 30 minutes from Banbury and 21 miles from Oxford, while Chipping Norton is well within commuting range of London with trains from nearby Charlbury to Paddington taking just over an hour.

“The stunning Cotswolds, one of the most picturesque spots anywhere in the country, are just a short drive away. And people coming here to Cotswold Gate now will be moving into a happy, highly-dynamic community with a real friendly spirit and sense of togetherness.”

There’s a choice of three and four-bedroom homes remaining for sale at Cotswold Gate.
