RIDI Lighting expands sales force in the UK

RIDI Lighting has expanded its UK sales force with the appointment of 3 sales professionals with wide experience in lighting controls, specification sales and wholesale. The appointments of Chris Rigden, Keith Jeffryes and Mitchell Hurst coincide with RIDI’s recent expansion at its German factory, where it now produces its own LED boards in-house.

Chris joins RIDI with many years’ experience of both the lighting industry and wider building controls, having spent his career with Thorn, Phillips Dynalite, Lutron and Crestron. In his Central London patch as a Project Engineer, Chris will be working with consulting engineers, lighting designers, interior designers, architects and electrical contractors, offering his guidance on design and specification of lighting andlighting control systems.

Working primarily with facilities managers, end users and contractors, Keith’s role as Lighting Sales Engineer will see him promoting RIDI’s LED luminaires directly to the commercial sector, drawing upon his time spent earlier in his career with Litecorp.

With early sales experience in wholesale, Mitchell Hurst starts his career at RIDI covering lighting design and sales specification in the East Midlands. Mitchell’s role as Sales Engineer will also cover project management, where he’ll be working alongside specifiers and end-users to design and deploy energy-saving systems and controls.

Mike Attard, Managing Director for RIDI in the UK says:

“The growth at our headquarters and rapid uptake of in-house LED production has allowed us to seek further opportunities to sell into new market segments previously not targeted by RIDI. The growth in Germany and resulting quality products has allowed us the freedom to invest in our sales teams and the three new appointments are a welcome addition to RIDI UK.”
