Marley plumbing & drainage introduces new Studor range

Marley Plumbing & Drainage has expanded its product offering by introducing the Studor active drainage ventilation system, designed to offer customers even greater choice when it comes to system ventilation design on high rise projects.

The Studor P.A.P.A (Positive Air Pressure Attenuator) and Studor Air Admittance Valves (AAV), which are available now, are particularly suited to high-rise applications and eliminate the need for roof penetrations and secondary venting.

Active drainage ventilation provides relief at the Point Of Need (PON) by removing or reducing an incoming positive or negative pressure in a drainage system that, if left, could lead to trap seal depletion. This, in turn, would allow foul smells into habitable rooms.

P.A.P.A has been developed to eliminate the harmful effects of positive pressure generated in gravity fed systems in multi-storey buildings. Its lightweight yet strong construction means that it can be installed easily both vertically and horizontally, without specialist installation requirements. It can also be retrofitted to a variety of high-rise drainage systems.

Activated by negative air pressure, the new Maxi-Vent (for 75 – 110mm pipe sizes) and Mini-Vent (for 32 – 63mm pipe sizes) Air Admittance Valves (AVVs) protect trap seals by allowing the intake of air, so that the right level of pressure within the drainage system is maintained. They also prevent the release of foul air and divert condensation away from the sealing membrane.

David Barker, Category Manger for soil & waste systems at Marley Plumbing & Drainage commented: “The P.A.P.A and Maxi-Vent and Mini-Vent AVVs offer multiple benefits when installed, as combined they support a complete system to limit pressure fluctuations, guaranteeing the integrity of the traps.

“The addition of the Studor products means that our customers will now have multiple options to choose from, when it comes to venting drainage systems. In addition to the active drainage systems, we will still be offering a design service for those that would prefer to install secondary venting within a building.”

The P.A.P.A and AVVs are compatible with all soil systems from Marley Plumbing & Drainage.
