Leading house builder Kier Living Eastern has raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support after taking part in its charity fundraiser, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Buckinghamshire residents jumped at the chance to join the Kier Living team in Aylesbury for coffee and cake and to get a preview of the next phase in the company’s new Canalside development, which is situated next to the Grand Union Canal.
Visitors received pre-launch details on the two-bedroom apartments at Canalside, which are perfectly placed on the outskirts of Buckinghamshire’s bustling county town. Throughout the morning visitors turned up to register their interest in the new apartments, and one of the six available homes was quickly snapped up by an eager buyer with lots of interest in the others.
Jane Johnson, regional sales and marketing manager for Kier Living Eastern, said:
“Macmillan is Kier’s charity partner so taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning seemed like the perfect way to continue our fundraising efforts while giving our guests the chance to find out more about Canalside.
“We were delighted by the response to the new apartments. Canalside has always been popular with buyers and it seems this next phase of apartments are going to be sold quickly.”
The coffee morning raised more than £150 and is just one of a range of fundraising initiatives organised by Kier Living Eastern throughout the year to raise money for charity. Earlier this month it raised £6,000 for The Kier Foundation, a registered charity that supports Macmillan and a myriad of other worthy causes chosen by Kier employees, through its annual charity golf competition.
