ISG takes £20 million Cannon Place projects

ISG has been awarded a further multi-million pound project at Cannon Place, increasing the value of secured work at the high-profile commercial office development in the City of London in excess of £20 million.

The contractor has recently completed a circa 175,000 sq ft Cat A fit out across four levels of the striking eight-storey building, located directly above Cannon Street station, for developer Hines. ISG has now added a further 140,000 sq ft fast-track Cat B fit out over the first three floors of the building for CMS, the sixth largest law firm in the world.

The large column-free floor plate at Cannon Place has enabled CMS to develop a new design ethos for its main London headquarters. Majority open plan, studio-styled work areas replace a traditional cellular office environment, with the space designed to promote collaboration, innovation and staff cohesion. ISG will install two new feature staircases to provide a seamless link between these two floor levels, which also include a range of offices and meeting rooms around the central core and a knowledge hub at third floor level.

ISG will create an impressive reception area on the first floor, with a café, staff restaurant, client-facing meeting rooms and dining space featuring bespoke furnishings. The focus on quality and flawless delivery is a key element of this project and reflects the exacting standards of ISG’s previous two schemes for CMS in London and Bristol.

Matt Blowers, managing director of ISG’s UK Fit Out business, commented:

“Securing repeat opportunities with major commercial organisations represents a key vote of confidence in our ability to consistently deliver outstanding office solutions within challenging timeframes. In this instance, our customer’s lease break provides an immoveable deadline and our integral focus on delivering exceptional standards will once again prove central to the success of this project.”
