The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) will have a strong presence at the NHF Annual Conference in the core city of Birmingham this week, Wednesday 17 September to Friday 19 September.
Session 1: The 2015 AHP and Continuous Market Engagement opportunities, Wednesday 17 September, 1pm-1.45pm, Hall 9.
HCA Director of Programmes Fiona MacGregor will join Dominic Gorton, newly appointed Chief Risk Officer at HCA-Investments and Matthew Harrison, CEO of Great Places Housing Group. The session will cover the latest thinking around continuous market engagement of the further funding still available under the 2015-2018 AHP, and opportunities for development using HCA-I recoverable investment.
Session 2: Sector Risk and Future Regulatory Requirements, Thursday 18 September, 8am-9am, Hall 11a.
Matthew Bailes, the Agency’s Director of Regulation and Julian Ashby, Chair of the HCA Regulation Committee, will be joined by David Montague, Chief Executive of L&Q and Elaine Bailey, Chief Executive Officer, The Hyde Group. The session will look at regulatory requirements, how to manage risk and what assurance the regulator will seek from providers when the new Regulatory Framework comes into place.
Jonathan Walters, the Agency’s Deputy Director of Regulatory Strategy and Performance will speak in a practitioner session on regulation and risk chaired by John Bryant, Policy Leader at the Federation. The workshop will focus on how the regulatory regime is changing and how the HCA will introduce a range of proposals to manage risk: Thursday 18 September 2014, 2pm, Federation stand, exhibition hall.
Also on Thursday 3.50pm-4.40pm, Hall 10, Alison Mathias, Manager, Existing Stock at the Agency will be chairing a best practise session on retrofit.
