Finalists announced for Student Awards for Excellence in Architectural Technology category

The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) is delighted to announce the Finalists for its Student Awards for Excellence in Architectural Technology category for the Architectural Technology Awards, the premier accolades that recognise outstanding achievement in the discipline.

The winners will be revealed at an online event on 3 December which will celebrate those working in the profession and studying the discipline and be hosted by TV’s Matt Allwright.

This event will recognise the exceptional contribution that Architectural Technology practices and professionals make to the built environment, as well as the hard work of those studying Architectural Technology.

The Finalist entries for The Student Award for Excellence in Architectural Technology (Project) are:

  • Ben Hall ACIAT, Sheffield Hallam University for Intersections
  • Bradley Harding, Anglia Ruskin University for Passive Design Hub
  • Henry Yang, Sheffield Hallam University for Sheaf Valley Link Project
  • Karaan Sabherwal ACIAT, University of Derby for Integrated Project
  • Maeve Cork Butters, Mackintosh School of Architecture for Playing with Music
  • Reece Scattergood, University of Derby for Green City, Residential Development

  • Adeliia Papulzan, Birmingham City University for Early Design Computational Simulation Tools For Net Zero Energy Buildings
  • Ben Hall ACIAT, Sheffield Hallam University for Applying Carbon Neutral Principles to the Resolution of Technical Architecture
  • Nick Jones, University of Plymouth for Achieving a Circular Built Environment: A Critical Analysis of Cradle-to-Cradle
  • Lucy Mannion, Birmingham City University for The Future of Technology in Measured Surveying Practices
  • Shehzadi Mohammed, Manipal Academy of Higher Education for Intelligent Assets Tracking with Circular Economy and Blockchain Technology in the Construction Industry to Solve Urban Problems for Sustainable and Equitable Futures
  • Stuart Cully, Ulster University for GenerATive Design – Redefining Roles Within the Design Process

Dr Matthew Brooke Peat MCIAT, Vice-President Education and Chair of the Judging Panel said,
