Following a four month project, work to enhance Hambledon Parade is now complete.
Hambledon Parade, Hambledon Road, Waterlooville has over ten shops with a very busy thoroughfare for shoppers. The improvements to the area included the widening of the carriageway to allow better two way traffic flow within the parade whilst incorporating easier parking.
New paving and street furniture has also be installed together with an improved footway and cycleway route.
The total cost of the project which was secured by developer funding from the West of Waterlooville development was £352K.
Councillor Tony Briggs, responsible for Environment and Neighbourhood Quality said:
“The improvements to Hambledon Parade will allow local shoppers better vehicle access and easier parking. This in turn will encourage residents to shop local and support small businesses.”
