Residents at housing provider Derwent Living are over the moon after being nominated for two national customer involvement awards.
Derwent Living, which is based in Derby, has been shortlisted for two Customer Scrutiny Inspection (CSI) awards, which celebrate best practice in the world of customer scrutiny and involvement across the housing sector.
The housing provider has been working closely with its residents on a number of panels aimed at helping other customers get the best possible service. The Independent Complaints Panel, a joint project between Derwent Living, Tuntum Housing and Gedling Homes, has been nominated in the ‘Most Inspiring Designated Panel’ category. The panel is made up of residents from all three associations and meets once a month, to review unresolved complaints from other tenants and help find a solution.
Derwent Living’s Resident Scrutiny Team has also been nominated in the category for ‘Most Inspiring Scrutiny Team’. The team monitors performance at Derwent Living to ensure that objectives are met and services are shaped around the needs of residents. Some 90% of the team’s recommendations to date have been accepted by Derwent Living’s board for implementation across the business.
Mitchell Allseybrook, resident involvement manager at Derwent Living, said:
“We’re thrilled to have been nominated for these two awards.
“It really is great recognition for our hardworking residents, who give up many hours of their time to work with us on reviewing and improving the services we provide.”
The awards ceremony takes place in Liverpool on 22 October.
