Charity offers rehabilitation services to construction industry

The Fire Fighters Charity is to open the doors of its residential rehabilitation centres across the UK to the construction industry.

Promising to help those who’ve suffered injury at work, or who are in need of support to return to work, the UK’s leading provider of life enhancing services to the fire and rescue community has made its services available to the construction industry in order to fund an increased demand from firefighters across the country.

The innovative fundraising approach provides construction companies with an opportunity to take advantage of cutting edge rehabilitation services, while also supporting injured firefighters and the work of a Charity that is otherwise reliant on donations from the general public.

With centres in Penrith, Cumbria; Littlehampton, West Sussex and Chudleigh in Devon, the Fire Fighters Charity offers tailor-made residential rehabilitation programmes for every beneficiary or client.

All centres boast a fully equipped gym, hydrotherapy pool, swimming pool, and anti-gravity treadmill, as well as a host of other cutting edge facilities to support those suffering from work-related injury and trauma or other health-related conditions that may hinder a return to work.

The programme is led and run by a team of qualified healthcare professionals, including chartered physiotherapists, exercise therapists, clinical assistants, psychological therapists and nurses*.

All income received from companies wishing to take advantage of this opportunity is ploughed back in to the work of The Fire Fighters Charity, helping to enhance the lives of an increasing number of deserving beneficiaries from across Britain’s fire and rescue service.
