March saw the launch of this year’s ‘New Vision of the Loft’ design competition organised jointly by FAKRO and European architectural design magazine ‘A10’.
To mark what is the competition’s third year, architects who took part in the last year’s event met recently at Fakro’s Nowy Sacz HQ. Visitors from Italy, UK, Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia and Poland met A10 Editor in Chief Indira van ‘t Klooster, editorial colleague Kim Hoefnagels and the Fakro team to discuss ways in which roof windows can be used as an intrinsic element of interior design.
The trip included a visit to Europe’s first passive church, at Rownia Szaflarska, whilst also taking advantage of winter sports activities on sledges, snowmobiles and quads.
Entry to ‘New vision of the loft’ is free with prizes of €5000, €3000 and €2000 going to the winning three entries. The deadline is 7th July so for full details visit www.fakro.com.
