2015 marks the 30th year in business for Gemini UPVC, a renowned Oldham-based fabricator of VEKA PVC-U windows and doors.
The company has been a family affair since it was established in 1985 by Robert Griffiths. It is now directed by his son Paul whose brother Michael is Director at AWC Home Improvements – the installation arm of the business, also based in Oldham.
“A lot’s changed in the industry over the past 30 years, and it’s definitely fair to say there have been ups and downs for companies in our line of business. However, Gemini has weathered the storm where many of our competitors have faltered so, yes, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved. A great team, fantastic products, and backing from VEKA – the biggest name in the business – what more could you want?!”
Gemini boasts strong, long-standing relationships with The VEKA UK Group and its industry- leading installer support programmes, as Paul explains: “The support we receive as a VEKA Approved Fabricator and a member of Network VEKA is second to none. It’s definitely played a major role in our continuing success, helping us to maintain consistently high standards, keep ahead of changes in the industry and assisting us in marketing ourselves at a standard that few competitors can match.
Colin Torley, Sales and Marketing Director for The VEKA UK Group commented:
“It’s not just customers that respect VEKA and its installer schemes. Network VEKA was the first organisation of its kind and glazing companies still aspire to the standards that have kept it ‘number one’ for nearly two decades.
“Gemini is a fantastic ambassador for the Network and, more recently, as a VEKA Approved Fabricator. It’s a shining example of what can be achieved with dedication, great service and making the most of with the support available from VEKA. With that winning recipe, I’ve no doubt that Gemini will still be going from strength to strength in another 30 years’ time. We’d like to offer our sincere congratulations to Paul and the team on this impressive company milestone.”
